Violin: Jon Crespo Herrero

Jon Crespo

Born in Bilbao in 1975, he starts in his home town his violin education at the Centro de Estudios Musicales Juan Antxieta, with teachers Barbara and Lech Zienkiewic, obtaining the high degree with the highest marks, with professor Zbigniew Wojt. Later, he moves to Salamanca to finish his master degree in camera music and violin under direction of Alberto Rosado and Isabel Vilá respectively, obtaining always the highest marks. He has completed his violin education with various courses by teachers like Vadim Brodsky, Lorand Fenyves and Hagai Shaham, among others.

He has been part of several orchestral and camera ensembles, from which we can mention the "Euskal Kamerata" camera ensemble of Bilbao, the Symphonic Orchestra of the Conservatorio Superior of Salamanca, where he was the first violin, and the Joven Orquesta Nacional de España, where he obtained a grant from the Fundación Coca-Cola and Caja Madrid. He has also collaborated frequently with the Real Filharmonia orchestra of Galicia, and with the Symphonic Orchestra of Castilla y León. He is currently member of the Pablo Sarasate Orchestra of Pamplona.
